SCOPE, (Sarasota County Openly Plans for Excellence) is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in Sarasota County. SCOPE works in three areas: capturing our past, addressing our present, and envisioning our future.

Through SCOPE, every person can get involved in deciding about the future of our community. |

Together, we learn about issues facing our community, set priorities, reach conclusions based on facts, and make recommendations for change. |

Implementation Task Forces are developed to accomplish specific goals with on-going evaluation and accountability to track and report on progress. |

Community indicators are developed to monitor our quality of life and the progress we are making as a community. |
