Since June 19, 1998 when The Great Outdoors Conservancy was founded 12,712,000 acres of wild, open, natural, and scenic lands have been lost to America's population growth. At 7,000 acres a day lost to development, the total amounts to 19,862 square miles.
Founded in Bradenton, The Great Outdoors Conservancy works nationwide to expand wild, natural, scenic and recreational areas by acquisition of land for the benefit of wildlife and the public's enjoyment for generations to come.
