OSC was developed out of a perceived need to organize an effective and innovative approach to addressing the needs of children and families in crisis.

Local social service organizations contact OSC directly after at least five other local agencies have been contacted for assistance. OSC relies on these agencies as verification of "true need" for the applicant.

100% of unrestricted donations provide direct relief to children and families in need. Administrative, fundraising and all other program expenses are paid from the generosity of special donors and events. Contributions are tax-exempt.
