DASH provides transitional housing and direct services to victims of domestic abuse and their families (men, women, children and teens) in Sarasota and Charlotte Counties. These services include food, transportation, psycho counseling referrals, substance abuse and anger management, as well as life management and parenting skills.
Teens are kept with their parents in shelter - not transferred to YMCA or foster care. Family pets are also kept with the family.

No fees are charged to victims and their families. We collaborate with supporting agencies in a team effort to provide enhanced services.
Our goal is to maintain a 90% success rate so that our victims do not again return to the cycle of domestic abuse/violence.
We help families establish "New Beginnings" and learn a new way of life - free from violence and abuse.
