Through volunteer labor, efficient management and tax-deductible donations of money and materials, simple, decent houses are built with families in need. Applicant families work in partnership with Habitat Volunteers to build habitat houses. Habitat houses are sold to these partner families at no profit and financed with affordable, no-interest mortgages. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments go into a revolving fund, which is used to build more houses.
